SuperCamp2009

hey peeps.
dropping by to pen down some stuff.
we had an awesome time in camp! and just like i said, it was a BLAST!
really. i mean every single thing bout SuperHoliday Camp was great. and though i do have to say that we were tired due to working our babushkas off just for the camp, it's all well worth it.
i know one thing for sure that God was in our midst and His presence was just overwhelming.
we did salvation call and most of the souls were saved. Their lives were snatched back from the jaws of hell. and there's one thing for surre, the angels are rejoicing in the heavenly host!
i think from the very beginning we were sure of where we're heading to, and the direction was clear that we're doing this for the very justified purpose that their names will be added in the BookOfLife. having them say the sinner's prayer with us gave us such great confidence that God is in control and the clear fact that He is heading this camp, not us.
i feel we've done our parts as CREW and leaders for each team, though it's exhausting to be jumping for 4 songs straight all the way and rushing to change for drama within seconds not remembering our lines( drenched in sweat), and struggling to put the wig on with the EXTRA LARGE sunglasses(plus the head mic for lechumi marriyapam kupusamy), omg! it was really challenging. and by the time we're done with that, me, charissa elodie gerard and darren are already half dead. haha. thinking bout that, it was a great thing to laugh about.

but at the end of the day, we can all come down to one point that God is good and He is in control and in charge of every single thing that we do.
the games part was probably the most physical torturing task we did in camp. it wasn't merely playing the games(which we leaders didn't really play) it was more of preparing and carrying the loads of games stuff...aand they aren't just like balloons and trays and little tiny waggly stuff, they were big pails filled with water balloons, stools, pails after pails of water, benches, flour, goodie bags, gunny sacks, pillows..etc.(imagine the amount of games we played!) now THAT's heavy duty!!! even we, girls are not excluded from carrying the loads of stuff... and by the end of the day the kids were still enerrgetic, enthusiastic, and full of vibe, whilst the leaders are............................erm.barbequed meat. hahahaha...
but just seeing them having fun and enjoying the games and cheerng like crazy(when i say crazy...i meanREALLY CRAZY) for their respective groups, jumping up and down like hooligans! It was really worthwhile doing all that we did..
i feel a great sense of fulfillment and satisfaction seeing them having the time of their lives..
i believe that they all had a special encounter with God and He has been so real in their lives.
coming to the end of the camp came witha lot of mixed feelings. i felt happy that we're coming to an end(i can finally go home and sleep) but at the same time really sad that we're all done and leaving camp cause i feel like both darren and I have built a special bridge with our people in Twiiter(group name)...and there's a special bond between all of us. and though we came in as last in the camp and my members were all devastated, we continued to cheer on and all we ever wanted them to know is that winning is not everything and after alll it's just a competetition, helping them not to be sore losers but to rise above the temporary failure and emerge towards their very own long-time acheivement waiting ahead of them.
i think we've done that. and it's a whole load of weight off my shoulder but i'm just glad we did this camp. i'm glad for the lives saved, for the great bonding and fellowship, for the great time we had during campfire, forthe uncountable games we played, for the worship encounter we received, for the special touch from Him, and for the One who is in control and ever real in our lives.
All credits to the one who deserves theseand is worthy of all honour. Jesus.
